About Our Football Teams and Club
Welcome to our grassroots football club in Croydon for girls and boys in School Years 2 - 7.
Here at SZ United FC we want to make your child's first football team a lifelong memory where they will make friends, develop as a footballer at their own pace, and enjoy a football environment that is centred around children and NOT adults 💭
Our club is proudly supported by Skillz UK Ltd (Croydon and Suttons most popular soccer school), and we are proud to have two UEFA B licensed football coaches leading our club forward, as well as amazing FA Level One and FA Level Two football coaches managing our teams. Our football teams are created based on ability to enhance football development of each of our players, and ALL ABILITIES are welcome 🙂
⭐️ We believe that the right football team environment will have a long lasting effect on your child's long term development as they grow into adulthood - teaching togetherness, how to be confident and most importantly teaching great social skills ⭐️
Our u8s - u12s teams train twice a week, and play matches on Saturdays. Our U7s Royals team train once a week and play matches on Saturdays. And, for our entry level children, we have a U7s private Little League to give all children an amazing intro to playing in a team environment ⚽️

Does Your Club Have This Experience Leading It?
Ashley Thomas
Chairman / Owner
Ashley founded SZ United FC back in 2016. His goal is to create a positive child focused football environment where children can thrive! He is a Uefa B Licensed coach.
His experience includes working for Fulham FC Academy with their u9s and u10s, and Chelsea FC in their foundation department, as well as managing and overseeing the biggest football programme around with Skillz UK Ltd.
Valentino De Luca
Head of Coaching / Club Welfare Officer
Valentino joined the club in April 2021, taking over from Gonçalo Pinto (our previous head of coaching who left us to become AFC Wimbeldon Head Of First team Analysis Department). He is a Uefa B / soon to be UEFA A license coach with a passion for player development.
Previous clubs include working for Juventus FC, as well as being a head coach for smaller football programmes in Sutton.
